Dance Attire
Choosing the right dance attire can make all the difference in the world. It can give you an advantage or disadvantage when dancing the tango. Don’t make yourself uncomfortable in your clothes. Of course the connection with your partner is more important then the way you look on the dance floor, feel Hot!
For the women, your dance attire should consist of stretchy clothes that move to accommodate your footwork. Tight, stiff clothes may affect your dance ability. A flowing fabric on your legs such as gaucho’s and palazza’s can make your moves look even more dramatic.
Another choice is a skirt or dress for the women. Dresses can be very flattering to the eye, just as long as they too are made of a flowing material to accommodate the movements of the body. It is a good idea to think about skirt or dress length. It is suggested to keep no longer than calf length for your best dancing.
You can let yourself step outside the boundaries of traditional tango dance attire. Feel sexy! Choose something that makes you feel sexy, if you feel sexy in a back-baring black dress then go for it! If feeling sexy is in a goucho or palazzo pant and long sleeved top then it’s the right outfit!
As for the men, you should also wear what makes you feel sexy and comfortable. You could have the choice of a simple button down with black trousers or maybe even jeans, casual pants or a t-shirt. Just make sure what you choose allows you to also move freely. It is a good idea to not look flashy!
One thing to think about is a moisture wicking fabric for your shirts if you are prone to sweat. Sweat stains may not be to appealing to the follower. She might be afraid of getting drenched!
Also, watch you buckle! Make sure your belt buckle does not become an obstacle for your follower. This can sometimes be painful in some situations. This is especially true if you dance close embrace.
So men and women, get your dance attire, put it on, feel sexy and get ready to dance!
