Finding The Perfect Instructor

Local dance studios have an abundance of instructors who will offer lessons on various forms of dance including tango. To find the perfect instructor start out by attending their practices and dances. This will help you to gain a feel for their method of instruction, dancing style and whose method of teaching feels right for you. If there is more than one instructor in your area try taking a class or two with each until you find one you feel most comfortable with.

Be selective with your choice of dance instructor as they are your first guides into the world of tango. Your instructor should bring out the best in you and not pressure you to conform to a particular style of dance. When you find an instructor who fits your style attend their classes and workshops and ask if they offer private lessons. The perfect instructor can be a vital portion of improving your skill set as a tango dancer.

If there are no local instructors available or your schedule conflicts with lesson times research tango videos which may be available for study. While studying by video will help you learn tango movements the hands-on experience of a tango instructor is irreplaceable.
